About Us

Specializing in upscale residential design, Valorie Finnie’s classic and transitional sensibilities have helped her to create grand interiors for over 30 years. Her work is identifiable by the painstaking attention she pays to every detail; she is known for her custom-build millwork, furniture and drapery designs.

Her talent and reputation have brought her all over Canada and the US, having worked on projects in many different cities. She has worked her way along the East Coast, with country houses in Mt. Tremblant, heritage homes in Westmount, condominiums in Montreal and residences in Toronto. Across the border she has done luxury lofts in New York, and vacation homes in Vero Beach and Delray Beach.

Her credits are not limited solely to decorating privately-owned homes: they include a collaboration with Debbie Travis on her television series ‘A Painted House’, as well as on several of her books. In 2009, she collaborated on the set design for the ‘Unique Lives and Experiences’ series at Place-des-Arts. She has also worked with Canadian architects and engineers to create a show home for a housing project near Beijing, China.

Valorie is a Montreal native and graduate of Fashion Arts Academy. When she isn’t working, she enjoys reading, travelling, and spending time with her family. She believes inspiration exists everywhere, from hardware store shelves to the pages of an old book.
She currently resides in Westmount.
